T-Reproductions 70 Standard Gauge Dorfan Electric Crane New in Box. Condition is New in the box. Most of the originals fell apart due to metal casting impurities caused by early metal casting techniques. He totally disassembled every part of the crane and remanufactured every piece using modern casting techniques and staying faithful to the original crane within. 001 of an inch, making around 500 of the cranes. The result was one of the most beautiful accessories for any layout or display. The crane is taller than a Lionel 840 power station, but has a small enough foot print so that it may be used on any layout. This Dorfan crane is operated by a transformer that is connected by 2 wires from an AC or DC transformer to the base terminals. The crane operates left or right by moving control lever of the crane located on the base. This lever also turns power on to the unit. The crane also has a lever to operate the direction located on the drive assembly, as does the hook lift feature. This crane also comes with operating instructions. This crane comes with all the original boxes and packaging. This is a beautiful reproduction of a classic piece.
