Material: Plastic The prototypes are the B12 (4-car set) and A9 (2-car set) formations belonging to the Niigata Rolling Stock Center. It is reproduced as it was manufactured at the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Niitsu Plant, and is equipped with a Toyo VVVF and Mitsubishi AU725 cooler. The exterior combines a stainless steel body with a white front end, and the golden yellow and crested pink stripes that represent the characteristics of the Niigata area.

The front shape and equipment are designed to operate in areas with heavy snowfall, recreating the train's distinctive appearance. The leading car has headlights, taillights and front displays lit (with a switch to turn them off). The headlights are recreated with all four lights lit in high beam mode. Each car uses a body-mounted close-coupling coupler without a hook. Skirt with snowplow shape and integrated body support already installed The coupler cannot be swiveled. When driving two leading cars together, please use the included skirt for coupling. The newly developed slotless motor provides smoother and quieter running performance. The powered car for both sets is the KuMoHa E129. Traction tires are equipped with 2 sets of 4 cars and 1 set of 2 cars. Both sets of front displays are equipped with [Normal (light blue) Niigata]. Replacement destination signs are included 4-car set: [Local (red) Murakami] plain x 2 cars each, 2-car set: [One-man (pink) Naoetsu] plain x 2 cars each. Destination signs on the sides are printed in solid black. Comes with destination stickers showing a variety of tracks and destinations. The exterior speakers and door switches are printed. The bookcase for the 4-car set can store the contents of a 2-car set. Model trains are powered by the rails. They do not use batteries even when running, lighting up, or emitting light.
