Up for sale is a 3rd Rail Sunset Models Die Cast NYC/New York Central "The Mercury" 4-6-2 Steam Engine w/TMCC O-Gauge NOS. Engine is in New in the Box Old Stock.
There is some minor flaking of the white tire paint on the wheels. This is from the factory and happened over time sitting in the box for almost 20 years. Features: Lionel TMCC and Railsounds with 4 chuffs per revolution, Seuthe Operating Smoke Unit, Die-cast body and trucks, Illuminating Headlight, and backup light on rear of tender. Engine has been fully tested, electronics have been inspected, and works as it should.
Due to the design of the chuff activator switch - you may experience intermittent breaks in the chuff rhythm due to side to side movement of the magnetized activator wheel. Make sure to run on nothing less than O-72 or for best performance use even wider radius curves if you can.
Wheels & Rollers may show some minor wear from being test run. Box shows shelf wear and some cosmetic flaws. Extra protective cushion may be added inside the foam insert to keep the item from shifting around.
IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you properly oil and grease the axles and gears before running this engine. Please look at the pictures to see exactly what you will receive.
