Lionel O gauge Smithsonian Collection Twentieth Century Limited NYC Dreyfuss Hudson locomotive with 13 cars, display case/track, and original boxes in Mint (C10) condition. They were a limited production run item - only 500 numbered sets were made. The loco also came with a numbered certificate of authenticity, and also a display piece of track mounted to a wooden presentation base that could be connected to the mains to allow the loco and tender to run in place.

The base had a lift-off clear lid. The cars themselves are stunning pieces and look great all together on a display! There were six total sets of cars - three each for westbound and eastbound. This example, however, has all matching numbers for the westbound cars - hard to find. Some of the cars have never been opened - none have been run.

This set is numbered 217 of 500. Dreyfuss Hudson J-3a class 4-6-4 steam loco and tender with light gray paint edged with blue, and two silver stripes.

Comes with original cardboard box, numbered wooden box with packaging materials, white cotton gloves, all paperwork (no poster) and the complete display cabinet. Cars are all odd serial numbers (westbound), in their original boxes as follows (three have their cardboard protection boxes too), and all come with packaging materials, white cotton gloves, and all paperwork (no set box as mentioned).
