Hornby 00 Gauge R8011 Layout Trakmat with Hornby Nickel Silver Track

R8011 trakmat complete with nickel silver track. This listing is for one Hornby R8011 trakmat with a complete set of nickel silver track. The track is in excellent condition with no sleeper damage. The R8011 trackmat is unused and in pristine condition. It is an early mat discontinued around 10 years ago and, in my opinion, the best produced by Hornby giving double and even triple track running for part of the layout. I used this one myself slightly modifying it to give full triple track running and finished off with a host of Skaledale buildings with a wonderful farm in the centre.

The mat provides a template for creating a 6' x 4' layout with the track plan and scenic background with roads and grass whilst also showing positioning for stations, buildings and other lineside features. It gives an immediate finished look to the layout avoiding the need for hours of work with scenic materials, although these can be added later. The mat is best used glued to a baseboard. A 3 track Peco level crossing (see photo 3) will be included although there may be an option for the Hornby R636 and R645 double and single track level crossings. Track is predominantly Hornby but may include Bachmann or Peco tracks subject to availability.

A plan will be provided showing the position of each piece of track. Again, subject to availability, the Hornby plan shown in photo 2 will be included but these are becoming quite rare.
