HO-2 Width to accommodate two (2) parallel tracks. KIT form - assembly required. Easy assembly using aluminum rivets. I will assemble for a nominal charge.

Please contact me regarding additional charges assembly and painting. The Pennsylvania Railroad developed the design in 1875'. Historic design used through out North America by many railroads. There are several versions of the original design, reflecting load ratings and requirements, common to bridges found throughout North America and the world for that matter.

Model is a replica of the basic prototype, refer, photos. Thought this would be a good offering that can be used by virtually anyone /any railroad as it was widely used design. Nothing beats a bridge for drawing interest to a scene on your layout!! Note, only the Pennsylvania Through Truss bridge is for sale, approach deck bridges in photos are not included in the sale price. Estimate model will be minimum 4 Feet (48) in length, with deck to accommodate 2 HO tracks in parallel. Bridge clearance: Portals for original clearance and high clearance cars will meet and exceed NMRA standards. For HI CAPACITY Cars at 5 1/2 height clearance.

Use extreme caution when incorporating model into your layout as Aluminum is an excellent conductor of electricity and represents a shock hazard! Pennsylvania truss is named after the Pennsylvania Railroad, whose engineers developed the design in 1875'. It is yet another variant of the Pratt truss with polygonal top chords and panels that are additionally subdivided by ties and struts. The sloping of the top chords saves materials and best places the depths of the truss at the center of the span, while the subdivided panels distribute the loads uniformly and handle secondary stresses well.
