Standard Gauge Lionel prototype of American Flyer Commander Presidents Special

Very unique Lionel custom 4 x 4 X 4 Electric Prewar loco built to replicate the Vintage American Flyer Presidents Special Commander # 4689. The Body and motor are a Lionel No 8E. It seems the front and rear trucks are very professionally custom built. There are no markings to indicate it's exact provenance, but whoever, whenever or wherever it was built they had access to precision tools and equipment and all matter of materials. Loco runs great, powered by an MTH standard BILD-A-LOCO motor. Forward and reverse controlled by transformer function.

There is no damage to the cab except a small local area of peeling paint (shown in photos). There is a bit of paint worn off where the front trucks ride under the body of the 8E.
