Smoke Unit Does Not Puff. A Great Model to Have. Used MTH 30-1101 O Gauge New York Central L-3 Mohawk (No Box). This is a previously owned and used MTH 30-1101 O Gauge New York Central L-3 Mohawk.

Is from a smoke free collector's home and it does not have the original box. We tested the model and it would move a little and then lock up. Took a look under the shell and found that the plunger mechanism for the smoke unit was jammed which prevented the model from running. After removing the plunger assembly the model runs pretty well in either direction, but this means that the smoke unit will no longer puff. Has a operating headlight, whistle sounds, and the smoke unit works but will not puff as the plunger is now removed. The original plunger will be included with the model if one wishes to try and fix the smoke unit. Other than that, is a pretty neat looking model.

Both the locomotive and tender are die-cast metal with a fine level of molded in detailing. The paint work and lettering is a fairly nice with just a few small nicks. Overall is great model of a L-3 Mohawk that would make for a nice addition to one collection. O Gauge Track Not Included. The combined listings must end.
