This awesome train set works great (with the exception of 2 of the rail cars having broken wheels) (as seen in pics). The engine runs great, smokes as it should, has tons of torque, the wheel rubber grips aren't loose, has a good connection to the coal car. The coal car speaker works normally, is loud and clear, and same goes for the wireless controller (with fresh batteries included).
