When tested the locomotive runs, however the light is broken and does not function. Lionel 390E Vintage Standard Gauge Green 2-4-2 Steam Locomotive w/ Tender. Here is a Lionel 390E 2-4-2 Two-Tone Green Steam Locomotive with Tender. This steam locomotive features a tinplate frame and boiler, a single motor, reverse unit, brass and copper trim, operating headlight, bell, whistle, and metal wheels. This is a Type II variation that is much more colorful than it's black counterpart. Painted in two-tone green with a third shade of Apple Green striping along the locomotive frame and tender. Both the locomotive and tender were repainted by the previous owner; the pilot on the locomotive shows light red paint, and the metal frame on the tender shows imperfections beneath the paint.
The brass trim has tarnished, and the bell trim piece is missing. Each item shows paint nicks, scratches, wheel wear, and surface rust. The overall appearance of each item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manuals and original boxes are not included.
