Lionel Prewar O gauge 1940, Black 763E 4-6-4 Steam Loco, 2226WX Tender, withBoxes
For sale is a very nice example of a Lionel Prewar O-72 gauge 1940, Black 763E 4-6-4 Steam Loco with the 2226WX Tender and an original 763 engine box. I feel both the loco and tender are in excellent condition with no missing, broken, or repro parts.
The rubber-stamped lettering on the loco is clear and the heat-stamped white lettering on the tender is bright and sharp. The tender is the correct low coupler version and the wiring appears original.
All screws/washers on both the loco and tender are correct. The trucks and couplers are in tact.
The tender draw bar coupler pin and chain on the loco are original. There have been no repairs on either the loco or tender, the marker lights on the loco with the original jewels are intact. All driver tie rods on the loco are original and the eccentric cranks are in tact. The loco box is for the 1938 763E version, flaps are missing on one end only, the tender box appears to be a reproduction. Thank you for your interest, I will be glade to answer any questions.
