Really superb early attempt by Marklin at the then recent trendsetting LNWR 4-4-0 Precursor Class Express loco and tender (513) named "Precursor" in Gauge one. This was probably electric from the start but the owner obviously later added some punch with a very purposeful Bassett Lowke 3 rail 12vDC mech. Unusual bogie tender - as with the GWR 4-4-2 De Glenn Tender. Usual Patina of age showing on these historic locos, but a fabulous model.
