This 1953 Boxcar is very rare because of the red lettering. It is in excellent condition C-7 which is defined by the Train Collectors Association as All original and may have minute scratches and paint nicks; no rust, no missing parts, and no distortion of component parts. See the photos that describe the following. The bottom metal is very clean. The couplers have good springs and the wheels have good thick flanges. Both boxcar ends look very good. The boxcar has aged quite well, doors are original single block doors and slide well and the car has bar end trucks. The roof has aged quite well. A small area of silver paint is gone by the bottom of the door. The original cardboard box is missing one flap and is otherwise in P-5 condition.
